Haman busy with official visits

Brock Haman kicked off his official visit schedule last weekend when he and Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro teammate Cyrus Hobbi went to Oregon State. Haman got a good feel not only for the campus but also coach Mike Riley, who made a big impression on the three-star outside linebacker.

Moala still considering many options

Viliami Moala wants to focus on his senior season but his recruitment is heating up more than ever and so the 6-foot-2, 326-pound defensive tackle from Sacramento (Calif.) Grant has some decisions to make. No one is going to rush him though.

Sample plans to take some visits

Cal and Washington are still the two favorites for James Sample but he said Oregon is also making a strong impression on him and the four-star safety from Sacramento (Calif.) Grant is expected to visit with the Ducks this weekend.

Lauderdale Lakes (Fla.) Boyd Anderson safety Mike Brown has made the offseason transition from linebacker look easy. His dominating performance–he was in on 11 tackles–last weekend earned him the highest grade from Rivals analyst Brian Perroni.

Richards is good fit for Stanford

Jordan Richards committed to Stanford last week and Folsom, Calif., coach Kris Richardson said it was a great fit not only from an athletic standpoint but the Pac-10 school also has an outstanding biology program that Richards likes.

Williams’ pledge boosts Huskies’ class

Washington, Cal, Notre Dame, Florida and LSU were the five finalists for Kasen Williams but after much deliberation the Sammamish (Wash.) Skyline wide receiver wanted to stay close to home and follow in the footsteps of his father, Aaron, who played wide receiver for the Huskies from 1979-82.
